Our Impact
At The BIPOC Outdoor Collective, we believe that connection to nature creates lasting change for individuals, communities, and the planet.
Through immersive experiences and hands-on programs, we connect people to conservation through recreation, blending history, environmental education, and outdoor exploration.
When people see themselves reflected in the outdoors, they develop a personal connection that leads to powerful stewardship, protecting the lands, waters, and communities that sustain us all.
Education for youth and families – Teaching environmental awareness, outdoor safety, and local ecology.
Restoration of local waterways – Engaging volunteers in cleanups and conservation projects.
Protection of green spaces and forests – Preserving access to nature for future generations.
Mental and physical wellness – Encouraging movement, mindfulness, and community healing.
Clean air advocacy – Working with partners to advance environmental justice.
Economic growth through eco-tourism – Supporting sustainable outdoor recreation and local businesses.
The BIPOC Outdoor Collective (The BOC) is a grassroots, community-powered organization based in Georgia, dedicated to bridging the gap between BIPOC communities and outdoor access.
Our work centers on Equity, Recreation, Advocacy, Conservation, and Education, the five precepts that guide everything we do. We are led by a diverse and dedicated board representing a range of disciplines, united by the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, heal, and thrive outdoors.
From community hikes and conservation projects to skills trainings and educational events, The BOC builds pathways for more people to step outside, connect deeply, and take action.
